Chair Egemen Büyükkaya
Egemen Büyükkaya is a 21-year-old student who is currently studying Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University. He is very interested in world politics and diplomacy. Egemen attends MUN conferences since 2013 and he sincerely enjoys helping new delegates to adapt to Model UN platform and understand why inter-state conflicts arise and how they can be solved. In these times as people get dissullisioned from politics, he believes that MUN is a great tool to understand national and international power structures that can be used to do good. He also believes that issues regarding women’s human rights and gender equality are truly international problems that need immediate and collective international action. He expects the participant of UNWOMEN to come together and try to solve these important issues that haunt the world for centuries and he is thrilled to meet with the prospective delegates of this committee in MarmaraMUN 2020.
